The glacier does not only move mountains, you will be moved as well. To be surrounded by crevasses of thousand year old ice with its infinite shades of blue makes it a place for discoveries and fun, but do not underestimate the severity of this scenography.
Jotunheimen nationalpark contains all of Norways 2300 meters peaks, which explains quite a lot about its name as it means The Home of the Giants in Norwegian, telling you also a great deal about the character of the area. This is the most alpine area of Norway and our adventure begins here, a unique experience you will not soon forget.
To get here you can either rent a car from Oslo or Trondheim and drive approximatively 5 hours with beautiful surroundings. You can also take a train from Oslo to Otta which is the nearest train station or by bus to Lom. Depending on the size of the group I can also pick you up at Oslo Lufthaven Gardemoen.
Where to stay
The possibilities for your stay are a bit fewer here but there are a couple of nice hotels and cottages in the area. If you want you can stay in tents, but please note that you will need your own sleeping bag and camping mattress.

You’ll need suitable clothing, good shoes and a backpack.
I will provide you with all other material needed for the glacier tour.
